Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, and the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, have been involved in a road crash.
A statement issued by the Office of the Minister for Education on February 12, 2026, confirmed that the accident occurred on the Bolgatanga–Tumu Road while the ministers were travelling to the Upper West Region.
They were reportedly en route to attend official engagements marking the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education when the incident happened.
According to the statement, all members of the convoy are currently in stable condition and are receiving the necessary medical attention.
