The Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of a nationwide exercise.
This aims to ensure fair and equitable distribution of doctors across all regions and districts.
In a statement issued on Monday, November 3, the Ministry urged newly recruited doctors currently undergoing the posting process to accept placements in available vacancies at regional and district hospitals.
According to the Ministry, the initiative forms part of government’s broader commitment to improve access to quality healthcare and address disparities in the distribution of health professionals nationwide.
“The Ministry is maintaining its policy of equitable distribution of doctors to all districts as part of efforts to achieve universal health coverage,” the statement noted.
The Ministry further emphasized that all placements are being conducted strictly through its official online portal and cautioned applicants against dealing with unauthorized individuals or intermediaries who claim they can influence or fast-track postings.
“No individual or group has been authorized to collect money or influence postings in any form. Eligible doctors are therefore cautioned not to engage middlemen or pay any persons who promise to alter or fast-track their postings,” it stressed.
The Ministry also encouraged all qualified doctors to visit its official website and complete their registration before the approved deadline on the online portal.
