Vice President of IMANI Ghana Kofi Bentil has stated that President Akufo Addo must desist  from zeal on wanting to solve all the problems in Ghana within one year else he will fail.

Speaking on Joy FM, Lawyer Kofi Bentil stated that the NPP government led by Akufo Addo should not try to solve all of Ghana’s problems and please everyone within its first year, because of the possibility of be counter-productive.

“If a problem must be solved in a durable way, we must be deliberate about it, thinking through instead of reacting. NPP, we think you can solve the problem…but please don’t try and solve everything tomorrow, you’ll make the same old mistakes. Look, students are out there stressed and stranded, some of them send me emails that their fees have not been paid, and basically being thrown out. Everywhere you pass there are real problems, but again if you try and solve every problem, you are not going to give us a durable enough solution, so let’s take our time and go about it in a very correct way and not try to please everybody in the first year.”

Meanwhile when President Akufo Addo read his maiden State of the Nation Address  in Parliament early last week, he sated categorically that he is in a hurry to place Ghana’s economy on the right path growth.

“Mr. Speaker, just after my swearing in ceremony, I have been able to put my team that will help me to govern this great nation. I have heard some people saying that he [Akufo-Addo] is behaving like a man in a hurry.”

“Mr. Speaker, I am indeed in a hurry and in a great hurry”, he emphasized.
