Interior Minister presents 10 pickup vehicles to NACOC

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has presented 10 Nissan Navara Pickups to the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), aimed at strengthening surveillance, improving rapid response, and enhancing the Commission’s overall operational capacity in the fight against organised crime.

According to the Minister, Government has stepped up its support to the NACOC as part of a broader effort to strengthen national security, protect public health, and disrupt organised criminal networks and a resolve to build capable, responsive, and accountable security institutions.

Muntaka noted that the vehicles would contribute to improving response times, enhancing operational capacity, and increasing arrests. He urged the management and personnel of NACOC to ensure the vehicles are used judiciously and maintained responsibly to achieve their intended purpose.

The Director-General of NACOC, Brigadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey, expressed profound gratitude to Government for its continued support in equipping security agencies. He noted that the provision of the vehicles underscored Government’s commitment to promoting mobility and strengthening surveillance across the country.
