Interior Ministry declares May 2, 3 public holidays

The Interior Ministry in separate statements has declared May 2 and 3 as public holidays.

According to the statement, 1st May 2022 which marks May Day (Workers' Day) is a statutory public holiday.

However, in view of the fact that it falls on a Sunday, May 2 has been declared an additional public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.

Tuesday, May 3 also marks Eid-ul-Fitr and is a public holiday.
