Investigative Committee set up to ascertain cause of Legon clash

The Head of Public Affairs for the University of Ghana, Mrs. Stella Amoa says leadership of the institute have tasked the Dean of Students to set up a committee to ascertain factors which led to the clash of two halls during the school’s matriculation of freshmen for the 2016/2017 academic year.

Members of Commonwealth and Mensah Sarbah halls reportedly clashed causing commotion.

The Commonwealth Hall camp were clad in red while the Sarbah lads were clad in black.

Musketry was fired amid chanting of war songs while seats got broken and at least a vehicle got damaged. The University experienced a similar incident which led to vandalism last time around.

Fire and policemen came in to calm nerves.
