The Somanya Police Commander, ASP Isaac Otsin is yet to brief the media on the circumstance that led to the tragic gunshot of a 6-years old Alex Ologo Amanor at Somanya in the Lower Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region on Thursday.
The 4-years old Jerry Akuffo who shot his 6-year-old brother was said to be playing in the room whiles their parents Isaac Tetteh Kwablah and Rebecca were out of house.
Tenants who were present said that, they heard the sound of a gunshot and rushed out only to find the deceased in a pool of blood.
Revelations in the room showed that the gun was shot at about just 3 meters.
Deceased was hit in the head bringing his skull content out in the pool of blood.
The police say, the gun is a locally manufactured one and is not registered.
Body has been taken to Atua Hospital for autopsy.
