A formal handing-over ceremony has been held at the National Police Training School in Accra to mark a change in leadership of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Special Operations Team.
The outgoing commander, DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil, officially handed over responsibilities to Superintendent Augustine Dawson Amoah, who now assumes leadership of the unit. He will be supported by three senior officers as part of the new command structure.
In his farewell remarks, DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil urged personnel of the team to offer their full cooperation and support to the new leadership to ensure continuity and maintain operational effectiveness.
Taking over command, Superintendent Augustine Dawson Amoah assured officers of his commitment to providing effective leadership. He also called for unity, discipline, and professionalism among personnel as they carry out their duties.
