Twelve suspects arrested in connection with the killing of a police officer at the Kwabenya police station will today January 30, 2018, stand trial at an Accra Circuit court.

The 12 suspects were arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court one presided over by His Honour Aboagye Tandoh on January 29, 2018, but the case was adjourned due to the unavailability of the judge.

The twelve suspects according to the police service played various roles in the jailbreak and killing of Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi at the Kwabenya police post.

The Ghana Police Service on Saturday, January 27 picked up the main suspect believed to have shot the Police officer at the Kwabenya police post in Accra.

The attack on the Police station led to the escape of seven suspects. Police have since arrested 12 suspects after the incident.
