A Lecturer at the University of Applied Management in Accra, Dr. Abubakari Mohammed Marizuq, has slammed ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, for allegedly setting up crime scenes to victimize innocent people.

The media practitioner said Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI are using deceptive and unacceptable modes in their fight against crime and corruption in the society.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Wa based Pupeli FM on the journalistic modes used by Anas and his investigative team, Dr. Marizuq dared Anas to distance himself from the crime scene and allow the victims to fall into his prey without any external plot.

The Lecturer commended Anas for combining audios and visuals in his quest to fight corruption on the continent but advised that Anas must not lure culprits into committing crimes by misleading them with false pretence.

“If we want to believe that Anas is fighting crime then of course, he should not be involved in the crime itself. First of all, to think of the crime is criminal, to conceive it is criminal, to be part of it is criminal, to get people as partners and get them as your victims is criminal”, Dr. Marizug explained.

He said “from day one to day last, that is why I am saying it starts on the note of deception, which is criminal and ends on a note of destruction, which is also criminal”.

“In a holistic manner, unless Anas is not part of the players in the criminal conduct, if he is part of the players, then of course, he himself should submit himself to the law”, he added.

Dr. Marizuq said “it is unacceptable to deceive someone to commit a crime; it is unacceptable to lure someone into committing a crime. It is not within the ethics of journalistic”.
