President John Mahama has appointed Ms. Josephine Nkrumah as the  Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).
A lawyer by profession, Ms. Nkrumah, prior to her elevation to the new position was a deputy chairperson of the NCCE in charge of Finance and Administration.
The NCCE had been without a substantive boss after former chairperson, Mrs Charlotte Osei took up the appointment as the chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC).
