Mahama names 18 Deputy Mission Heads including former Military Chief

President John Mahama has appointed 18 new Deputy Heads of Mission to serve in Ghana’s embassies and high commissions abroad, including former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Thomas Oppong-Peprah and former presidential spokesperson Ben Dotsei Malor.

Other appointees include former Domeabra-Obom MP, Sophia Karen Ackuaku, George Harrison, Sanni Jajah, Aquinas Quansah, and Jamilatu Amadu, among others.

The appointment was contained in a letter from the Presidency signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.

The selection combines expertise from the military, diplomatic, and communications sectors to enhance Ghana’s foreign service corps.

Ben Dotsei Malor, a former Presidential Spokesperson has been assigned to the Ghanaian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
