A man believed to be in his mid 40s has been lynched to death at Mbrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Residents in the area largely suspect the deceased was lynched over phone theft. According to the Police the incident took place on Thursday dawn, the deceased was found in a puddle of blood following a distress call from residents.

The Manhyia Police Commander Chief Superintendent Kwaku Buah in an interaction with the media condemned the act of instant justice. He   cautioned Ghanaians to desist from taking the law into their own hands and have faith in the police service.
