An unusual scene was created at a cemetery in Tema over the weekend as two mortuary attenders stormed the cemetery to carry away the corpse of a man claiming the family of the dead owes them a meagre GHC40.
The middle-aged men claimed that the family took away the corpse at their blind side while attending to other bodies at the mortuary.
Pictures and videos circulating on social media revealed how the two men stormed the cemetery, opened the casket and carried the dead body on their shoulders.
It took the intervention of some friends to settle the bill for the body to be retrieved and subsequently buried peacefully.
