Zimbabwe president, Robert Mugabe, has been caught dozing off at the ongoing Ghana @ 60 Independence Day parade.

By sleeping, Mugabe lived up to a reputation of always sleeping at major conferences and events.

In 2013, he was pictured sleeping at an Arab-African summit in Kuwait.

In 2016, Mugabe was also pictured sleeping at the African Union summit in Ethiopia.

On social media, Ghanaians are mocking the 93-year-old for dozing off.

"All those saying Papa Mugabe was sleeping, you are wrong. He was just meditating," Nana Awere Damoah, a popular writer, wrote on Facebook.

"Eiiiii Mugabe! What are you doing? Dozing? The event just started. Pls wake up," Felix Baidoo also wrote on Facebook.

Mugabe is one of the foreign dignitaries attending Ghana's independence day parade.

Togo president, Faure Nyasingbe, is attending, while former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, is also present at the event, which has been characterised by a display of rich Ghanaian tradition and culture.
