Business mogul and CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has come out to express his disappointment in some Menzgold customers after they took to the street to demonstrate against the gold dealership firm.

On Tuesday, 27 November 2018, some angry customers of the gold dealership firm took to the streets to demonstrate against the gold dealership firm.

Hundreds of the protestants marched through the principal street of Accra starting from the Obra Spot and ending at the Accra Hearts of Oak Park.

This follows months of failure on the side of gold dealership firm to refund their investments to them, despite several assurances.

Responding to this however Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Menzgold, took to his social media handle again as he expressed his disappointment in the demonstration.

In a tweet, he said the customers have “fallen for the misconceptions” and denigrated his name, instead of being resolute. He added that the gold dealership firm “shall do the needful now”, insisting “God knows we defended our collective cause”.

“Instead of us being resolute, you’ve fallen for the misconceptions and further denigration of my name & the brand. We shall do the needful now. God knows we defended our collective cause.#Posterity #Hail! Menzgold Global,” Nana Appiah Mensah wrote.

Menzgold has been in the news in recent months following disagreements with the Bank of Ghana (BoG) regarding its operations. The latest development is the order from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to have the company shut down its gold trading activities.

Consequently, the company has halted its collectibles and all other new businesses related to its gold vault market, albeit temporarily.

Meanwhile, the demonstrating customers have pleaded with the government to intervene to get Menzgold to refund their investment.
