Otumfuo tells Nana Addo: When Mahama ignored my advice, he lost woefully

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has stated that  former President John Mahama has admitted to paying greatly for the 2016 elections for ignoring his wise counsel.

Speaking at the Manhyia palace during President Nana Akufo-Addo tour of the Ashanti region, Asantehene said few days after the 7 December 2016 elections which Mr Mahama and his NDC lost woefully, John Mahama came over to him (Asantehene) and confessed that he should not have ignored “my counsel”.

According to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu, other former presidents aside John Mahama also made similar confessions in the past. Saying Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, John Kufuor and Prof John Evans Atta Mills all expressed similar sentiments.

Per the Asantehene’s estimation, John Mahama and his NDC also lost the elections because Ghanaians were hungry and angry with his administration.
