The Tema Regional Police Command has apprehended seven individuals for their alleged involvement in a series of robberies at Ashaiman Sakasaka Park and Dagomba Junction in the Greater Accra Region.

In a press statement released on Tuesday, June 24, a group of young people reportedly attacked victims at the locations using weapons before making off with several valuable items.

Among the stolen goods were an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a Samsung A03 Core, a backpack containing a Dell laptop and its charger, a power bank, an Infinix Hot 40i smartphone, and cash.

The police promptly responded to the incident and, with the assistance of members of the public at the scene, arrested two suspects, identified as Moses Kwame Helu and Jonathan Osabutey.

Subsequent intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of further suspects. Police detained Robert Amekudzi and a juvenile whose name has been withheld, in possession of the stolen backpack and the Dell laptop with its charger.

Later, the police also arrested Bernard Dzumador and another unnamed juvenile found with the stolen iPhone 12 Pro Max and Samsung A03 Core.

The seven suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations. Authorities have confirmed that the individuals will soon be charged and presented before the courts.

The Tema Regional Police Command has assured the public of its commitment to ensuring law and order, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.
