A portion of the N1-Kasoa highway will be closed today from [Wednesday] March 22 to Wednesday, March 29 for the final asphalting of the Southern Part of the Western Highway Extension by Queiroz Galvāo construction.

According to the Engineers working on the Kasoa Interchange, the closure is to allow for the sealing of the make-shift U-turn right before the Kasoa Police Station “and also for the final asphalting of the Southern Part of the Western Highway Extension by Queiroz Galvāo construction”.

To minimise the effects of the closure on the flow of traffic, diversions have been created for motorists.

Motorists driving from Winneba, Cape Coast and beyond towards Accra “can either use the Western By-Pass to get to Accra or still drive through Kasoa and take RIGHT TURN upon reaching Amanfrom quarters to join the dualised road towards Accra”.

Police and safety personnel are expected to be on hand to assist motorists.
