Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon, has won the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), extending its record as the most successful school in the competition.
The Odadeɛ boys secured the championship on Thursday, September 10, 2026, after emerging winners of a keenly contested grand finale held at the UG Premier Domes in Accra.
PRESEC Legon finished the contest with 40 points to claim the trophy.
Accra Academy, making its first-ever appearance in the NSMQ grand finale, placed second with 33 points, while St. Augustine’s College (AUGUSCO) finished third with 27 points.
The victory gives PRESEC Legon a record-extending ninth NSMQ title, making it the first school to reach the nine-championship mark.
The school had previously won the competition in 1995, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2020, 2022 and 2023.
