An accident involving one of the vehicles in the presidential convoy injured four people on Thursday night.

The accident reportedly occurred at about 7pm on Thursday when President John Mahama was on his way to Agordake in the Volta Region to commission a ferry.

The accident vehicle is said to be a Toyota Landcruiser allocated to the press corps that accompanied the president.

The Minister of Communications, Edward Omane Boamah, confirmed the accident on Accra-based Adom FM and said that the injured were treated by the medical team that accompanied the president.
