Kennedy Agyapong is a politician and business tycoon born on June 16, 1960, to Francis Ohene Kofi Agyapong and Mrs Mary Nsiah at  Assin Dompim in the Central Region of Ghana.

In 1976, Kenedy had his secondary school Education at the Adisadel College, He further advanced his studies at Winneba Secondary School. He proceeded to Fordham University in the United States of America to further his studies.

kennedy has so far been awarded three times by the Adisadel College during the school’s 100th anniversary and the institution is proud to have been associated with this prolific individual.

Kennedy Agyapong started working at the Assin Farms where he became the Managing Director. He also worked at the Super Care Group of Companies and the Hollywood Shopping Center.

He is married to Stella Wilson Agyapong. However, he was in a relationship with the late Deputy CEO of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Program (NEIP) Stacy Offei Darko, who was also his baby mama; whom she had a daughter with. 

Some of his children known to the public are Amanda Agyapong and Ken Takyi Agyapong. It was also confirmed by the Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, that she had two children with the politician.

He is the representative of the people of Assin Central constituency as their Member of Parliament. The wealthy, outspoken, ''no-nonsense'' politician owns a number of companies which includes; Oman F.M, Ash F.M, Net 2 TV, Super Care Company Limited (Air Conditioners Dealer), Mina D’oro Ventures, M/S Imperial World Business Limited, Gold Coin Communication.

In January this year, Kennedy Agyapong has tagged a suspect in regards to the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a lead investigative journalist in Anas' Tiger Eye private investigation.

This follows a comment he made before Ahmed was murdered by two masked men at his Madina residence on January 16 2019.

In response to the #Number 12 exposé on corruption in Ghana football, Mr Agyapong said Ahmed is a bad boy and told his staff to beat him up if he comes around because he will secretly set cameras in the building.

But speaking on Accra-based Neat FM, hours after the murder, Mr Agyapong said he is well placed and will gain nothing should he take away the life of the investigator.

According to him, “This boy is irrelevant to my life. Why would I be stupid and order people to kill him looking at how far God has brought me? He has not offended me in any way. They should look for those who may be behind this heinous act. This is just cheap propaganda.”

“I don’t live a low life. I am focused on everything that I do, that is why I am very loud when I am arguing. I don’t compromise on anything. Ahmed has not done anything to me because I am not part of the people he set up'', he added.

Meanwhile, in connection with Ahmed's murder, some six persons have been granted bail after they were arrested.

The Police also revealed that Kennedy Agyapong, former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, Investigative journalist, Anas Arimeyaw Anas have also provided statements in connection with the case.
