Salat Janaza prayers for the late former Second Lady, Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama, will take place today, Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Blackstar Square (Independence Square) in Accra.

The Islamic ceremony will be led by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu.

According to the family, the remains of the wife of the late former Vice President, Aliu Mahama, will be conveyed to Tamale in the Northern Region for burial after the ceremony in Accra.

The late Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama passed on earlier this week in Accra.

Her death came 10 years after her husband, Aljahi Aliu Mahama, died on November 16, 2012, aged 66, from a heart-related complication.
