The 2016 edition of the annual Aboakyer Festival of the Efutu people came to a close peacefully on Sunday.

The Aboakyer is a deer hunting festival in which groups of youth roam the forests of the Winneba area for a live deer.

The group that presents the first live deer wins the contest and that live deer is sacrificed to appease Pankye Otu, the god of the Efutu (Winneba) people.
