The Member of Parliament for Tafo-Pankrono in the Ashanti Region, Dr Anthony Akoto Osei, has alleged that some elements in the NPP masterminded the attacks on him by the Delta Force.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Minister said he has no grudge with the Delta Force and therefore, cannot say the young men who disrupted his meeting did so willingly.

The aggrieved young men chased out the MP for failing to fulfill promises made to them ahead of the 2016 elections.

The young men who were riding on motorbikes destroyed chairs which have been arranged for the meeting.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Minister took to his heels to avert any casualty.

Dr Akoto Osei and the NPP executives were about to swear-in two constituency executives when the men stormed the venue and subsequently disrupted the meeting.

Narrating his ordeal on Okay FM on Monday which was monitored by PrimeNewsGhana, Dr Akoto Osei alleged that the attacks he suffered were masterminded by some persons.

He, therefore, denied reports that he made some promises to the men prior to the 2016 elections.

“I cannot say they were coming to attack me because I don’t have any personal quarrel with them but they disrupted the meeting and that one is very clear. I believe some people were behind this attack because I have no issues with these men”.
