Swesco celebrates 60years, durbar on Feb. 16

Swedru Senior High School, Swesco, will on the 16th of February 2019 celebrate 60years of the school existence.

The event will be held at the school’s(Swesco) campus in Agona Swedru. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the guest of honour; Mr Samuel Atta Mensah, CEO of CITI FM as the guest speaker, and Mr George Owusu, a co-founder of E.O Group as the Chairman.


Activities earmarked for the celebration at Swesco also include; an awards night to be held on Friday, February 15, 2019, to honour deserving past students and other distinguished personalities of the school.

The National President of the Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO) Old Students Association, Mr Frank Danso Dankyi, has called on old students of the school to collaborate effectively to make the school’s upcoming 60th anniversary a success.

According to him, old students of Swesco must attend the ceremony in their numbers to ensure a spirit of togetherness and devoutness towards the school.

He further asked Swesco old students to support the association in the discharge of its duties to ensure the plans for the occasion are achieved.

He made the call when he addressed participants on the sidelines of a health walk organized by the group as part of activities to commemorate the anniversary of the school.

To climax the celebration, there will be grand jams titled ''Rave Jams Chai chai to remember'' at the school's campus.
