Two employees of a Chinese-owned enterprise, Asomdwie Rubber Company, have been found dead in a parked vehicle located at a factory in Atonsu Agogo, situated in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased persons have been identified as Baba and a female colleague whose name has yet to be verified. Both were employed at the company, which specialises in plastic processing.

Baba was a senior staff member, while the woman had been with the company for less than two months.

The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear. They were found in the back seat of the vehicle, with the woman’s head resting on Baba’s shoulder.

At the time of discovery, Baba was reportedly wearing only a singlet and shorts. The vehicle’s tinted windows were rolled up, and the doors were locked.

According to sources, the staff of Asomdwie Rubber Company had previously attended the wedding of one of their managers on Saturday, November 22, where both deceased individuals were present.

Later that evening, the female employee reported for her shift, expressed feelings of illness, and was instructed to return home. Around 8 p.m., residents noticed Baba’s vehicle entering the vicinity before it parked with the engine initially running, which was subsequently turned off.

The vehicle remained stationary throughout Sunday, November 23. It was not until Monday, November 24, that workers and residents detected a foul odour and notified the police.

Officers had to break the vehicle’s windows to gain entry, where they discovered the two bodies.

Additional reports suggest that Baba married in early August 2025, and his wife is currently expecting.

The female colleague was also reportedly making preparations for her own wedding, which is set for December 2025.

The police have since transported the bodies to the morgue as investigations are ongoing.
