Unavailability of governing council denies 2017 GIJ masters class a graduation ceremony

The Ghana Institute of Journalism [GIJ] 2017 masters graduation ceremony has been postponed indefinitely due to the unavailability of a new governing council for the school.

The board is yet to be constituted after the change of government, hampering administrative work and the issuane of certificates to graduates.

According to JoyNews report, the school is ready for the formation of a new governing council but the government has not given any directive for its formation.

The 2017 graduation ceremony was expected to have taken place in February but due to the unavailability of the council it has been postponed.

Similar events in the University of Winneba has seen a court case against the school leading to the temporary closure of the University.
