The VVIP Lounge at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) will be closed down temporarily for two weeks effective today, Tuesday 31st January 2023.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration announced this in a statement on Monday, January 30.

The aim of this new directive, the Ministry said, is to enable the restructuring of the lounge for efficient travel and to meet international standards.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana wishes to inform the travelling public, who patronize the VVIP Lounge at the Kotoka International Airport that it will be temporarily closed for two (2) weeks, effective Tuesday, 31st January 2023. The ministry apologised for any inconvenience the closure might cause urging users of the lounge to patronise the Commercial Important Person (CIP) Lounge and the Business Lounge at Terminal 3.
