“Because they are the more vulnerable, the 80% of women in small scale industry are all from rural Ghana, whether is dawadawa picking or growing of apple or in the cocoa area is the women who are there, in Ghana we say they are the engine of growth.” she made this known in an interview with Radio Ghana.

She has hinted of her ministry commitment to work with district assemblies and other donor partners to help actualise the vision of most rural women.

“Women must be partners they [we] cannot be left behind we must develop side by side, so early socialization is one thing the ministry will work hand in hand with the district assemblies and education and donor partners, women in the villages have visions but we need to empower them to actualise it.”

She further called on “Women [to] go out there and be winners, nobody is going to give it to you even though we earn the right to be respected we have to take the fight to the next level by assessing ourselves be bold for change whether you are a young girl or a woman, you are the central figure of national development starting from the home if you don’t get it right meaning our sons and daughters will get it wrong.”
