A 29-year-old South African guy has shocked internet users after revealing that he's had a vasectomy done on him because he never wants to have children.
JagIsOffline, as he is known on Twitter, said he had always wanted to have his tube tied because he does want to be a father.
He shared photos of his appointment card, and while he was lying on a bed β presumably at the health facility where the procedure was done Β β and captioned them, "I did it. I just got my irreversible vasectomy done.β
"I'm 29. Unmarried. No children and no intention of ever having any. I've wanted this for years. It's surreal," the photographer told social media.
Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilisation or permanent contraception.
During the procedure, the male vasa deferentia are cut and tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering into the urethra and thereby prevent fertilization of a female through sexual intercourse.
I did it. I just got my irreversible vasectomy done.

Thank you to everyone who advised, donated, and @NthabiWabi for supporting me through every step π pic.twitter.com/ULwFeABvh9
Part of my vasectomy process is that I must ejaculate 20 times to clean things out before submitting a clean sample to be checked by Lancet.

Vasectomies are meant to be permanent β canβt be reversed β so doctors advise that you should only get a vasectomy if youβre 100% positive you donβt want to be able to get someone pregnant for the rest of your life.
