It's a tale as old as time; You've just applied your make-up, when, for whatever reason, you need to jump in the shower.

Maybe you've realised your hair has gone just that little bit too long between washes, or perhaps you simply fancy a hose-down.

Whatever your motivations, there's now a product which means you can shower and keep your slap intact.

It's called the SHOWRSHIELD and it's essentially a plastic visor which protects your face from water, and it will set you back £11.77.

Joking aside, there are instances beyond not wanting to ruin your make-up where the shield is actually crucial.

It's also designed to protect facial surgery healing, eyelash extensions, and microbladed brows, where you need to keep your face dry.

Sheridan Elle, who founded SHOWRSHIELD, said: "I started this company after standing in the shower countless times using my hands as a makeshift shield in an attempt to protect my previously applied makeup (that took me a considerable amount of time and not to mention money to apply) from getting ruined.

"It quickly became part of my beauty regime and saves me countless times when i'm in a rush or just want a shortcut in getting ready."

She added: "It works great for the aftercare and maintenance of recent facial surgery, microblading, and eyelash extensions. Taking care of your procedures post-operation is not only critical but also something that should be done with ease and worry free when healing."
