Is Obinim qualified to cast the first stone?

When I first saw the video of “Bishop” Obinim, which went viral, assaulting two teenagers in the full glare of his fanatic congregation, I thought it was one of those technologically manipulated videos. So I disregarded it with the utmost alacrity.

I was, however, taken aback when the so-called man of God confirmed the act (crime), and boldly, without shame, offered some illogical explanation to justify the condemnable act.

His explanations were that he decided to inflict that crime on those two children, in the full glare of his congregation, because the children, (a boy and girl) confessed to an alleged fornication act.

According to Obinim, during a “prophesy time” in Church on Wednesday, God revealed to him that the young boy impregnated the girl and terminated a resultant pregnancy, an act, he (Obinim) considered wrong in the eyes of God, which must not be entertained, hence the punishment he meted out to them.

When I read his explanation, my initial reaction was whether or not there are “NO ELDERS AT HOME” to bring this man, who continuously disregard every deed of common sense and deliberately acts with impunity on humanity at all times in the name of freedom of religion and worship.

A man who acts without being mindful of the fact that his cherished “freedom”, must not be, without responsibility. That a man of “God” should walk into a house of “God” with whip in hand, and invite two church members- on this occasion two teenagers- accused them of fornication, and with the support of his cohorts (church elders) and begin to assault those accused persons, could be nothing than madness whose remedy, in my honest view, could not be short of invitation by the law enforcement agency (police).

Is Obinim qualified to cast the first stone, when he allegedly committed “crimes” in the past but escaped the strong hands of the law?

How can’t this Obinim guy be dealt with when his followers can't see what he continues to perpetrate on humankind?

It is just unfathomable how we, as a nation, can accept such violence and exploitation as the norm and the will of God from these charlatans.

This man must be arrested now and the church closed down immediately.
