The Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, Sam Nartey George says he has been vindicated and is not surprised government rejected the Short Commission's recommendation on the person who abused him.

According to the Member of Parliament, he had no hopes of justice from the Akufo-Addo led administration in regards to the violence that marred the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election on January 31 2019.

The violence which occurred in one polling station during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election saw a National Security operative slapping Sam Nartey George.

In regards to this and violence that characterized the Ayawaso by-election, a three-member state chaired by former CHRAJ boss Emile Short,  known as the Emile Short Commission of Inquiry was set by the government to look into the violence and provide appropriate recommendations.

Thereby, the recommendations stated that the National Security Operative who assaulted Sam George must be prosecuted. However, the government in its White Paper rejected the recommendation.

Reacting to government's decision Sam George in a statement sighted by PrimeNewsGhana stated that the Akufo-Addo government has a great agenda to disrupt peace and stability in the country

''I had no hopes of justice from this government and I have been vindicated. This is the clearest sign yet that the President and his security team have a grand agenda of causing violence and undermining peace, stability and safety of our beloved Republic so long as it perpetuates his failing government in power''.

He also added that his party, the NDC at the appropriate time will comment about the white paper in more specific terms.
