Chairman 'Wontumi' granted bail

Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako facing charges for assaulting Manhyia North MP, Collins Owusu Amankwa has been granted bail by the Asokwa Magistrate court.

The court granted bail in the sum of GHC 20,000 with two sureties after lead counsel for Mr Antwi-Boasiako, Egbert Faibille had appealed for his client's release.

Earlier in court, a letter written by lawyers of the complainant to the Police disclosing their intention to discontinue the case was read for an internal resolution was.

The court scheduled June 2, 2016 to hear feedback from the internal resolution.
