Delegates of the ongoing NDC constituency delegates congress in the Sagnarigu Constituency of the Northern Region have boycotted the ongoing election over alleged incidents of over voting.

The voting stopped at half past 2 pm when the results of the Women organizers and Youth organizers were declared by EC officers.

According to reports, an officer from the Electoral Commission was accused of issuing multiple ballots to some delegates to vote for his preferred aspirants who is his direct brother contesting the secretaryship position

The delegates also bemoaned that the Northern regional chairman of the party Sofo Azorka and the Regional youth organizer Alhaji Abio have interest in the election and so are those fueling the plot to rig the election.

Meanwhile, the NDC MP for the area A.B.A. Fuseini was escorted safely from the voting centre because of threats of beating him up by some delegates.

Also at the Tamale North Constituency, the election came to a standstill following the sudden appearance of a former constituency chairman on the ballot paper though he was not contesting.
