Garden, clinic, library, police & fire stations all part of Nkrumah Interchange package

President Dramani Mahama has officially opened the 3 tier Kwame Nkrumah Interchange to traffic on Monday night.

The estimated €74m road network which begun 3 years ago and inaugurated yesterday saw the president, National Democratic Congress (NDC) heavyweights, invited dignitaries and NDC diehards all in attendance.

A delighted President Mahama, made known that he has delivered on his word of transforming the Nkrumah Circle to fast track the movement of people and goods adding the Kasoa Interchange Road Network will also be inaugurated before December concludes.

He mentioned prior to the completion of the Nkrumah Interchange, $100m was lost to the state yearly thanks to gridlock on the road which halted productive activities.

The inauguration attracted curious citizens and migrants alike who were keen to be part of the memorable event.

The flyover has been reported to be the highest and longest in West Africa with some nicknaming it a mini Dubai thanks to Dubai’s dancing fountains which were mimicked.

President Mahama also mentioned the provision of the Odor Terminal to make commuting easy for citizens without with hassle.

The Kwame Nkrumah Interchange also has a memorial garden, an Nkrumah statue, a clinic, a library, police station, fire service post, ambulance service station.
