Flagbearer of the Progressive People's Party (PPP) has stated that he will have no option other than going to court to seek redress if the Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson, Charlotte Osei refuses to meet him over his disqualification from the 2016 presidential election.

The EC at a press conference on Monday announced the disqualification of the PPP's Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom and eleven other candidates including PNC's Dr Edward Mahama, APC's Hassan Ayariga and NDP's Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings for citing some irregularities on their nomination forms.

For Dr Nduom in particular, he was disqualified because one of his subscribers endorsed his forms using two different signatures.

But according to Dr Nduom, the reasons cited by the EC were only administrative and clerical errors which a five-minute discussion with Madam Osei would resolve and put him back on the ballot.

Addressing the media at the party's Asylum Down headquarters over his disqualification on Tuesday, he reiterated that if the EC Chairperson fails to grant him his request to rectify the irregularity and put him back onto the list of aspirants to contest the 2016 elections, he would head to court.
