Although he failed in his bid to become party chairman in 2014, former first vice chair of the New Patriotic Party, Fred Oware, says he is bracing himself to battle for the post in 2017 or 2018.
The former owner of Choice FM had taken on the late Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, Stephen Ntim and businessman Paul Afoko but failed to secure the mandate of the electorates.
“I didn’t win the first time I contested because the truth is that I didn’t get majority of the votes but I hope to do it next time around in 2017 or 2018†he told 3News.

“…Maybe I’m consumed by the knowledge and passion that there is something in me that I have to offer to the people of Ghana and for my party. That zeal pushes you to go the extra mile and its nothing like I would like to add something to my CV because at this age what CV do I really want and do what with it†Mr Oware stated as his motivation for not retiring from politics.
