I dropped 'Wontumi' case for my mum - Ibrahim

The Manhyia North New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Secretary, Felix Ibrahim has disclosed he decided to withdraw an assault case against the regional Chairman of the party because his mother was being threatened.

 

Felix Ibrahim together with the MP for the area, Collins Owusu Amankwa made a police report against the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman 'Wontumi' for allegedly assaulting them on May Day but later wrote to discontinue the case after Mr Antwi-Boasiako was arrainged at a Kumasi Margistrate Court on Wednesday.

Speaking on Joy FM Thursday , the Mr Ibrahim revealed, “My mum advised me”, he said, adding, “she said she has been threatened and the pressure on her is too much so she begged me to drop the charges.”

He said anything could have happen to his mother if he had refused to drop the case.
