I will change the status quo to be the female President of Ghana– Nana Konadu

Former First Lady and Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings has said she is determined to change the status quo to be the first female president of Ghana to encourage other capable women to show up. 

“Taking part in this election is important for me because it opens the door for women, and for all to see women as activist part of the development of the country.”

The Former first Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was disqualified by the Electoral Commission [EC] from contesting the upcoming December polls due to some anomalies on the her nomination forms. 
However, after the intervention of the Apex court she was cleared to contest and placed 2nd position on the ballot paper.

According Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, she is optimistic that this election will make her party National Democratic Party (NDP) known to all and sundry serve as avenue to showcase what her they [NDP] has to offer.
She added that ‘for our [NDP] campaign strategy, we are doing things on the ground but have no publicity.”
