The National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has blamed New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for Tuesday's embarrassment suffered by President John Mahama at Kokompe, a spare parts hub at Darkuman in the Ablekuma North Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.

According to him, the people who engaged in the act were NPP supporters who had been emboldened by Akufo-Addo's 'all-die-be-die' posture.

President Mahama's convoy, during his tour of Ablekuma North on Tuesday, was greeted with aggressive chants of change as he appeared through his car's sunroof to wave crowds of people who had gathered around.

In a video, many of the people were seen making the change sign with their hands with the president appearing unruffled.

This has been interpreted by many observers as that President Mahama would lose the December elections.

But speaking on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen on Wednesday, Mr Adams who is also the NDC's 2016 Campaign Coordinator,  described the incident as "nothing but a show of indiscipline by some people who had hanged a large NPP banner behind them", adding "I'm not shocked because if you have a leader who preaches all-die-be-die, how won't  you be motivated to misbehave towards the president".

"They should know if we are to go on that tangent, their candidate cannot campaign anywhere in the country because we also have supporters everywhere", he warned.
