President John Mahama's government has ensured progress in many sectors so there is no reason why he should be changed, Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area, Naa Puo-Ure Puobekyiir VII, has stated.

According to him, when a government was "doing well" like that of President Mahama's it was only proper to give it another term.

Speaking when the Chief of Staff Mr Julius Debrah and the General Secretary of the NDC Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah called on him to campaign for President Mahama and the ruling NDC's candidate for Nandom, Dr Richard Kuunre, he said, “I have lived in Europe for 20 years. And as I keep saying when a government is doing well you must retain that government. We are praying that the government of President Mahama will be retained".

The Nandom chief who is also a former president of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs, expressed gratitude to the government for "for giving us this District.”

“We are also grateful that Ko Polyclinic has been upgraded. I was surprised to also learn that the government has started preparing to work on the Kamba Irrigation Project", he added.
