MP for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Agyapong has vowed to expose top police officers supporting the activities of land guards in Ghana.

According to the lawmaker, he has in his custody numerous picture evidence to back his claim.

“I have pictures of top police officers who are enjoying grasscutter meat with land guards. It’s not only Bright Oduro alone, there are others. I will give the police service a crusade for everybody to see police officers who take bribes and demand lands from land guards and then shield them,” he alleged.

He called on Nana Addo as a matter of urgency to 'clean-up' the police hierarchy before things get worst.

“The President should sack the ten top hierarchy of the police service because not even a single one of them is clean when it comes is dealing with land guards,” he suggested.

Speaking on a local radio station, the maverick MP cautioned the former Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) COP Bright Oduro to keep mute otherwise he will suffer the consequences of his public utterances.

COP Bright Oduro was asked to proceed on leave earlier this week. To him, it's an unfair treatment meted out to him by the government.

The former CID boss has blamed Kennedy Agyapong, saying his public outburst abt his  alleged involvement in land guards activities informed the government decision.

However, the Assin Central Lawmaker has stated categorically that the evidence in his possession against COP Bright Oduro is very explosive, hence it would be better for him to keep mute.
