Bulk Oil Storage and Distribution Company Limited (BOST) never sold any contaminated fuel under the former Managing Director Kwame Awuah Darko.
That’s according to a former board member and the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams.

At a press conference on June 30, the Majority in Parliament stated that Between 2014 and 2016, contamination of fuel products in the country escalated, the average price that the product was sold was GH¢0.70 (70 pesewas) per litre, as the price ranged from GH¢0.50 to GH¢0.90. The  price of the recent contaminated product was sold at GH¢1.30, which is 86% higher than what was  obtained in the past, making it the  highest value the nation has ever earned. The minority is therefore not speaking the truth, the majority alleged.

Reacting to the comment on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Mr. Adams said no contaminated fuel was ever  sold under the former administration as alleged by the Majority in Parliament.

“That has never happened. We have never sold any contaminated fuel to anybody, it hasn’t happened.”

According to him if fuel is contaminated they make sure they blend the specification before an attempt is made to sell it onto the market through the normal processes used in selling all other fuel.
