The Ahafo Ano South Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Anthony Osei Yaw Akoto has passed on at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) where he  had been receiving treatment after sustaining multiple injuries from a fatal accident which occurred last Monday.
 He is reported to have been touring his constituency when the vehicle henwas driving got  involved in an accident somersaulting severally.
Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi, has  confirmed the death, saying the party would visit the constituency to condole the family.
Mr Akoto's death on Wednesday comes after the deaths of former National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency Chairman, Samuel Osei Kofi Boamah.
