President Mahama has warned Ghanaian electorates not to be swayed by the many promised freebies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) describing their manifesto as unworkable.

“Their promised freebies is not realistic and any attempt to implement them will throw the economy in tatters.”

Speaking at Afienya on his Greater Accra Regional tour, the presidential aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) observed Ghanaians are mindful such that the electorate won’t fall for the tricks of the NPP.

He described the NPP as a party of sweet talkers reminding the charged crowd that the NPP opposed the introduction of the Value Added Tax (VAT) when introduced by the NDC under Rawlings only to increase the charge when they assumed office noting such people cannot be trusted.

On one hand, the NPP has pledged reducing taxes on many things which will cut state revenue generation but the party is also on a promising spree pledging to build 1 Dam-1 Village and setting aside $1m for every constituency to use.

“Their plan is the craziest I have heard,” Dramani Mahama declared.
