The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled June 25, 2025, for the official inauguration of the party school referred to as the Patriotic Institute.

“The Party has scheduled 25th June 2025 for the official inauguration of the NPP Ideological Institute,” Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the party, announced.

He disclosed that the Institute will, among other things, be providing education to Party Members, particularly office holders, on the party’s philosophy, values, history and political strategy in line with the party’s centre-right philosophies, which underpin the founding of the NPP tradition.

The announcement was contained in a press statement dated Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Mr. Kodua, in the statement, also announced that the party has scheduled its Presidential primaries for January 31, 2026, to elect the NPP’s Presidential Candidate for the 2028 general elections.

“This crucial decision was taken by the Party’s National Council pursuant to Article 13(1)(1) of the NPP Constitution, which mandates the Council to fix date and venue for the election of the Party’s Presidential Candidate” he stated.

Meanwhile, the meeting of the National Council was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, to deliberate on the party’s rebuilding exercise, including the organization of the upcoming Annual National Delegates Conference where the Party is expected to consider proposed amendments to the NPP Constitution.
