Knowing that many concerned Ghanaians wonder if his handicap won’t get in the way of effective administration and mobility, Convention People's Party presidential candidate Ivor Greenstreet has prayed the voting public to not let his wheelchair unsettle them.

Mr Greenstreet made the rallying call during the CPP’s introduction of Parliamentary candidates in Lower Manya, Upper Manya, Asuogyaman and Okere constituencies to party executives and supporters at Agormanya in the Lower Manya constituency.

The handsome candidate who had full use of his limbs till a motor accident rendered him wheelchair bound, cited U.S president Franklin Roosevelt who advanced his country at a critical period despite his disability.

"The greatest president America has ever had, Franklin Roosevelt because of polio was in a wheelchair but he became a president for four occasions...so I am pleading with you don't look at the wheelchair at all, it is about the ability and capacity" Mr. Greenstreet urged.

The man who despite the impediments beat Samia Nkrumah to emerge presidential candidate submitted his government will empower persons living with physical challenges and ensure strict enforcement of all disability laws in the country.
