The incumbent New Patriotic Party, NPP will in 24hrs from now commence its elections to vote new national executives who will man the affairs of the party for the next four years.

The exact venue for the NPP Conference is the Koforidua Technical Univesity formerly known as Koforidua Polytechnic.

When Prime News Ghana arrived at the Koforidua Technical University, the campus of the school had been 'painted' with all sizes of banners, and posters of all 41 aspirants who are eyeing various positions in the incumbent party.

Nine positions are up for grabs and at the close of nominations, 41 NPP stalwarts had picked forms to contest for the various positions in the NPP, including Chairman, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vice-Chairpersons, Organizer, Secretary, Women’s Organizer, Youth Organizer, Treasurer and Nasara Coordinator.

According to the NPP, over 7, 000 delegates are expected to converge at the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua, to elect the party's national officers.

The upcoming conference is under the theme: “Building a Stronger Party, Delivering Prosperity to Ghanaians”.

Acting Gen Secretary, John Boadu in a presser said, "the choice of this theme is based on the fact that, the party indeed recognizes the need to build and strengthen its structures to become more formidable in order to sustain power so that it can continue to deliver prosperity to the Ghanaian people".

However, a leaked National Security report has disclosed ahead of time the winners of NPP 2018 elections scheduled to take place in Koforidua on July 7, 2018.

An intercepted polls conducted by the National Security suggest that Freddie Blay, F. F. Antoh, Rita Talata Asobayire, Omari Waddie, John Boadu, Sammi Awuku, Abankwa Yeboah, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) and Kate Gyamfua will win their respective contests and form the next NPP National Executive Body.
